Overview
Nurse Technician (NT) - Pediatrics, Day Shift. Full‑time, starting at $18/hr with potential increases. 36 hours per week, 7:00 am–7:30 pm, rotating schedule with weekend requirements. Primary location:

- Grand Rapids, MI. Department:
Inpatient

- Assist the assigned registered nurse (RN) in patient care within the scope of the nursing department’s policies.
- Collect and monitor vital signs, document data and report patient needs.
- Perform sterile intermittent catheterization, bowel programs, patient hygiene and other tasks as directed.
- Act as a safety attendant, supervising patients under RN direction.
- Respond promptly to call lights and document care in the patient record.
- Transport patients safely for diagnostic testing and therapy services.
- Maintain a clean and safe patient living environment, including equipment and work areas.
- Assist in collecting quality data for RN or supervisor audits.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure continuity of care.
- High school graduate or equivalent GED;
Certified Nursing Assistant preferred. - Current American Heart Association BLS Course for Health Care Providers.
- No licensure required.
- Preferred experience as a nurse technician or nursing assistant.
Perform tasks while remaining largely stationary; occasionally traverse or move around work location, use keyboard, transport supplies up to 25 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs. Must comply with safety and infection‑control policies and handle potential exposure to blood‑borne pathogens.
