Description
Trinity Health's surgical suite/OR currently consists of 16 beds and was recently renovated. The hybrid operating room is equipped with advanced medical imaging devices such as fixed C‑Arms, CT scanners, or MRI scanners that enable minimally‑invasive surgery.

Shift12‑Hour Evening Shift (10:45 a.m. – 11:15 p.m.) – 36 hours per week
What you will do- Set up the surgical area, laying out instruments and supplies according to the surgeon's preferences.
- Check all equipment needed during the procedure to verify it is functioning normally.
- Verify the patient's identity and necessary consent forms and review the site and nature of the procedure with the OR team.
- Provide the surgical team with sterile fluids and medications as needed.
- Replenish the surgical team's supplies if additional disposables or instruments are needed.
- Act as a patient advocate while the patient is incapacitated during the surgical procedure.
- Support the interdisciplinary team delivering excellent patient care and evidence‑based medicine.
Registered Nurse (RN) who works in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team providing evidence‑based medicine and individualized patient care.
Qualifications- Associate's degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
- In Grand Rapids, if holding an ADN, must enroll in a BSN program within 6 months of hire and complete it within 4 years of hire.
- Licensed in the State of Michigan.
- Experience with surgical suites, OR setup, and operating room procedures (required).
