About the Unit
3E/G is a unique team structure at Blodgett Hospital, comprising a 24‑bed Med/Surg unit (3E) and a 22‑bed Orthopedic unit (3G). The team provides care for patients across medical, orthopedic, and joint replacement populations.
Scope of Work- Act as a team member in delivering quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Provider.
- Perform basic nursing skills per department guidelines, including taking vitals, checking blood sugars, bed bathing, ambulating, wound care, and catheterization.
- Serve as a safety attendant for patients.
- Collect and report physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days.

Location & ScheduleBlodgett Hospital – 1840 Wealthy St SE, Grand Rapids, MI. Part‑time Night shift: 7:00p.m. – 7:30a.m., 6 days a week with every third weekend off.
