About the Unit
Corewell Health offers a 2‑floor, 164‑bed unit dedicated to long‑term care and post‑acute rehabilitation. Nurse‑patient ratios vary by shift and patient population. Units specialize in general rehabilitation, neuro rehabilitation, traumatic brain injuries, and cancer care. The environment focuses on goal‑oriented, compassionate care that promotes independence, strength, and confidence.
Scope of Work- Registered Nurse (RN) – Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably per the American Nurses Association (ANA) and Michigan state law. Demonstrates competency using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, evaluation). Upholds ANA standards including ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice, research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Works under the direction of the RN/Mid‑level Provider/Physician, contributing to assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Provides patient and family education about treatments, medications, equipment, and other activities. Documents care in the electronic or written patient record consistently with guidelines.
- Registered Nurse (RN) –
- Associate’s degree in Nursing;
State of Michigan RN license. - AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.
- Associate’s degree in Nursing;
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) –
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an approved nursing program (preferred).
- State of Michigan LPN license upon hire.
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.
Location:
Rehab & Nursing Center – Kentridge, 4118 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Grand Rapids.
Schedule:
Part‑time Day shift (Monday–Friday), 6:30 a.m. – 7 p.m.; variable days worked with every third weekend. Weekly hours: 24.
