Registered Nurse - Senior Progressive Care - Geriatric Care Unit

Location:

Trinity Health Grand Rapids Hospital, 32‑bed, all‑private‑room acute care unit specializing in geriatric patients (65+). This high‑acuity, adaptable care environment unit manages telemetry, cardiac drips, high‑flow oxygen, BiPAP, and advanced therapies. Nurses care for patients with rapidly changing conditions, using advanced assessment and strong clinical judgment.

Team structure: 3 Lacks follows a nurse‑directed, team‑based care model with RNs, LPNs, Nurse Externs, PCAs, and Virtual RNs. The hospital is a NICHE Exemplar Organization, recognized for excellence in geriatric nursing and interdisciplinary collaboration, and a Magnet designated facility with active shared decision‑making councils. A Registered Nurse (RN) works in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team providing evidenced‑based medicine and individualized patient care. The RN is expected to facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience.

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing school and program.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred.
• In Grand Rapids, if ADN, must enroll in BSN program within 6 months of hire and complete within 4 years of hire.
• Licensed in the State of Michigan.
• Current BLS and AHA certification.
• Experience in a health‑care setting.

Daily Pay Options, and the schedule consists of full‑time, three 12‑hour shifts per week, every third weekend on rotation during the night shift.
