The Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health is responsible for providing nursing care to patients with mental health and psychiatric conditions in an inpatient setting. This role focuses on patient safety, therapeutic interventions, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to support recovery and well-being.
Must-Have Qualifications• Minimum 1–2+ years of RN experience (Behavioral Health / Mental Health preferred)
• Active Michigan RN License (Required prior to start)
• BLS Certification (AHA – Required)
• Strong knowledge of psychiatric nursing and patient safety practices
• Experience in inpatient behavioral health or psychiatric units
• Familiarity with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
• Strong communication and patient engagement skills
• Inpatient Behavioral Health / Psychiatric Unit
• Onsite role in Grand Rapids, MI
• Patient-focused, safety-driven clinical environment
• Must be flexible with varied shifts (Day / Evening / Night)
• Ability to handle high-acuity behavioral health cases
• Must comply with all hospital and regulatory standards
