Psychiatric Registered Nurse

A Psychiatric Registered Nurse provides specialized mental health nursing care to individuals with behavioral health conditions. They work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver compassionate, patient-centered treatment in various clinical settings.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ mental health needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the clinical team.
• Coordinate and deliver nursing care to patients, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety protocols.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medication management, and discharge instructions.
• Monitor patient progress, report safety concerns, and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Document all clinical activities accurately and in accordance with organizational policies.
• Serve as a clinical leader by delegating responsibilities and mentoring junior staff and direct care team members.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid state RN license and meet licensing requirements for Michigan.
• Possess at least 2 years of behavioral health experience, including pediatric care.
• Have current BLS certification.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Show competency in crisis management and therapeutic communication techniques.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, recovery-focused environment.
