Martino Health & Wellness is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing outpatient psychiatry practice in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This PMHNP position provides psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing behavioral health treatment for children, adolescents, and adults in an outpatient mental health setting.

Description What You'll Do

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), you will provide outpatient psychiatric care through psychiatric evaluations, medication management, treatment planning, and ongoing patient support while building meaningful relationships with patients.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and establish diagnoses.
  • Provide medication management and ongoing psychiatric treatment.
  • Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment options.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Review clinical records, laboratory results, and other relevant information to support treatment decisions.
  • Respond to refill requests, patient communications, and other clinical needs as part of managing an active patient panel.
  • Collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, and other members of the treatment team when appropriate.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications
  • Current PMHNP certification.
  • Active Michigan licensure or eligibility for licensure.
  • DEA registration or eligibility to obtain.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of patient care.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior outpatient psychiatry experience.
  • Experience with psychiatric medication management across a broad range of conditions.
  • Experience working in private practice, community mental health, telepsychiatry, or other autonomous outpatient settings.
  • Strong documentation, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Familiarity with E/M coding, psychotherapy add-on codes, and outpatient psychiatric billing practices preferred. Training and support will be provided regarding practice-specific billing workflows and documentation standards.
Hybrid Productivity Compensation

Our compensation model combines a competitive base rate for productive clinical time with recurring clinical performance incentives, allowing providers to earn predictable, competitive compensation while being rewarded for higher-complexity care and accurate documentation.
