Scope of work
Registered Nurse (RN) delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably in accordance with the American Nurses Association (ANA) and state regulations of Michigan. The RN demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN upholds ANA‑defined standards of professional performance: ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health.
The RN strives to achieve optimal outcomes.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works under the direction of the RN or a mid‑level provider/physician and collaborates with other health care team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The LPN informs patients and families about treatments, medications, equipment, and related activities in coordination with the RN or provider. Care is documented in a computer or written patient record in accordance with guidelines.
Qualifications- Registered Nurse (RN) –
Required:
Associate’s in Nursing (MI) and active RN license; AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days. - Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) –
Required:
Associate’s in Nursing or graduate from an LPN program (MI); LPN license; AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days.
