Quality Technician (Inspection & Safety)
We're looking for a detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in quality inspection who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in accuracy.
This position is approximately 70% quality inspection and 30% safety and continuous improvement
. While the role includes safety responsibilities,
quality experience is the primary focus
. The right candidate will have experience in a manufacturing quality environment and be eager to learn our highly specialized inspection processes.
Our products are unique, and inspection methods are specific to our industry.
No textile experience is required. We have an experienced inspection team that will provide comprehensive training, though candidates should expect it to take several months—and up to a year—to become fully proficient.
What You ll Do:
Quality Inspection (Primary Focus)- Perform detailed inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure products meet quality standards.
- Identify, document, and help contain quality issues.
- Assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Create and maintain quality documentation and inspection records.
- Partner with production and design teams to resolve quality concerns.
- Learn and perform specialized inspection processes unique to our products and industry.
- Assist with workplace safety audits and reporting.
- Participate in incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with safety committee projects and workplace risk assessments.
- Experience in a manufacturing quality role such as:
- Quality Technician
- Quality Inspector
- Quality Coordinator
- Quality Lead
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to pass a color vision assessment (such as the Farnsworth-Munsell or equivalent hue test) for color matching and quality evaluation.
- Experience working within an ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar Quality Management System.
- Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Experience with safety programs, 5S, or continuous improvement.
- Textile manufacturing experience is a plus but not required
.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
