Full-time night shift position working on a consistent 7:00 pm – 7:00 am rotating schedule.
Pay starts at $23.00 an hour. $1,000 sign‑on bonus. $1/night shift and $1/weekend premium. Eligible for all benefits day 1 of hire. 8% 401(k) match.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide support to the Laboratory department by performing and coordinating a variety of laboratory processes.
  • Spend a minimum of 5% of time regularly auditing package integrity teardowns performed by production partners.
  • Register and prepare samples for general analytical testing through data entry.
  • Prepare and perform routine to more complex analyses per approved methods.
  • Accurately read and record results of analyses, ensuring identification numbers are matched with correct samples.
  • Effectively and efficiently operate basic laboratory equipment such as balances, pH meter, autoclave, moisture analyzer, infrared analyzer, etc.
  • Gather and analyze information from Inventory Management System to identify which product needs to be placed on hold.
  • Assist with generating quality hold forms.
  • Prepare and ensure the accuracy of standards and reagents needed for testing methods.
  • Clean and maintain equipment and areas as required.
  • Perform routine lab and department maintenance to keep area clean and orderly.
  • Function as primary data generator; record and calculate data; enter data into Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Conduct preliminary interpretations of data or observations, and draft short reports to Quality Assurance Leadership group.
  • Complete assignments in a timely, diligent, and safe manner; perform work in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure quality of results by assisting with establishment and maintenance of Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) documents and plans.
  • Document QA/QC data and report to Quality Assurance Leadership group.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained in reliable working order; request repairs in a timely manner.
  • Effectively and efficiently perform chemistry, physical, and microbiology sample preparation and testing.
  • Quickly move between tasks, using time efficiently to complete investigation testing.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot issues or concerns with management.
  • Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory Practices, and Good Documentation Practices.
  • Laboratory activities and results cannot be influenced by any undue pressure being put on the personnel involved in conducting those laboratory activities.
  • The laboratory personnel must report any undue pressure and declare any potential conflict of interest.
  • Work with dairy and nut products in addition to other related ingredients and allergens.
  • Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
  • Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
  • Support safety policies and programs.
  • Any additional duties and responsibilities as determined by management.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Associate degree or coursework in a related scientific field preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • Experience: Minimum one (1) year of experience in the food production industry or in a related quality or laboratory field preferred. Experience with both metric and standard systems of measurement required.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to read, understand, and follow documents and procedures, including Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), SOPs, MSDS, GMP, test procedures, and HACCP.
    • Work in a fast‑paced environment.
    • Attention to detail, quality, and cleanliness in work.
    • Excellent organizational skills, establishing priorities, ability to multitask, and meet deadlines.
    • Effective verbal and written communication with supervisors, colleagues, and external contacts.
    • Follow one- or two-step verbal instructions; read and follow written instructions; perform routine and repetitive tasks and carry out detailed but uncomplicated instructions.
