Dairy Plant Quality & Food Safety Lead

Due to retirement, we are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the quality and food safety programs at our Cedarburg, WI fluid milk and cream facility. This role is responsible for driving compliance, continuous improvement, and a strong food safety culture in partnership with plant operations. This position reports to the Director, Quality.

Key Responsibilities

• :
  
  Lead daily quality and food safety operations in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• .Maintain audit readiness and oversee food safety, sanitation, and quality programs
• .Manage non-conformance investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
• .Oversee hold/release processes, documentation review, and KPI tracking
• .Ensure compliance with specifications, preventive maintenance, and change control processes
• .Lead plant quality initiatives, including EMP, lab testing, and data analysis
• .Serve as primary contact for customer complaints and regulatory/customer audits
• .Partner cross-functionally (Operations, R&D, leadership) to support quality and capital projects
• .Develop, coach, and lead quality team members; provide food safety and compliance training

Qualification

  Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biological Sciences, or related field (or equivalent experience
• ).5–8 years of QA experience in food, beverage, or similar manufacturing environmen
