Axios Professional Recruitment is partnered with a leading manufacturing company to hire a Quality Control Technician. This position is responsible for ensuring products meet established quality and reliability standards through inspection, data analysis, process improvement, supplier quality management, and customer support.
Responsibilities- Inspect and verify products at various stages of the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematic diagrams to determine product quality and reliability requirements.
- Complete and maintain APQP and PPAP documentation in accordance with customer requirements.
- Perform receiving, in-process, first article, source, and final inspections using appropriate measuring and inspection equipment.
- Inspect products for dimensional, mechanical, electrical, chemical, and performance characteristics.
- Record inspection and verification data using statistical quality control (SQC) methods.
- Analyze quality data, prepare reports, graphs, and charts, and identify deviations from established standards.
- Recommend improvements to quality and production standards to optimize product quality and manufacturing capabilities.
- Manage the calibration program for measuring and inspection equipment in accordance with established procedures.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve defective material issues, process returns, and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in investigating customer complaints and quality concerns, driving effective root cause analysis and systemic corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance quality systems and manufacturing processes.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- 5–10 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or manufacturing quality within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Experience completing APQP and PPAP documentation.
- Working knowledge of quality inspection methods, statistical quality control (SQC), and quality documentation.
- Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), including symbols, location, and profile tolerances.
- Experience selecting and using precision measuring and inspection equipment for receiving, in-process, first article, and final inspections.
- Ability to define quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements and ensure compliance throughout the manufacturing process.
- Experience utilizing root cause analysis methodologies, including 8D, Fishbone (Ishikawa), and 5 Whys.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry/analysis tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, production, suppliers, and customers.
