Position SummaryWe are looking for a compliance‑driven Food Safety and Quality Assurance professional to ensure products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The role includes ownership of routine sanitation checks, enforcement of HACCP and USDA regulations, product traceability, evaluation of product quality, and development of corrective actions.
What You’ll DoQuality Assurance & Continuous Improvement – dive into regular inspections and in‑process checks; take immediate action when products are out of spec; support corrective measures and continuous improvement efforts.
Food Safety & HACCP Compliance – implement and maintain HACCP plans; monitor critical control points and verify records; identify food safety data trends; train team members.
Regulatory & Sanitation Oversight – perform pre‑operational sanitation checks; coordinate resampling and follow‑ups; review and update food safety programs to align with regulations.
Leadership, Training & Coverage – serve as a resource for newer team members; provide guidance and knowledge transfer; cover essential tasks and support supervisors when needed.
What We’re SeekingBachelor’s degree in meat science, food science, microbiology or related field, or equivalent education and experience. HACCP and SQF certifications preferred. Solid knowledge of QA principles, USDA, HACCP, SSOP. Strong technical expertise in quality and regulatory programs. Proficient in reading, writing, and completing documentation.

- Problem‑solving, decision‑making, and conflict resolution expertise
- Proficiency interpreting and writing technical documents, reports, and SOPs
- Experience with monitoring equipment, data interpretation, and Microsoft Office
Office and plant setting with wet or humid conditions, extreme cold and heat, moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, chemicals. Moderate to loud noise levels. May lift or move up to 50 lbs. Requires frequent standing, walking, hand use, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, hearing. Reasonable accommodations can be made.
