This is a 2nd Shift Position.
2nd Shift
Schedule:
3:30 PM–12:00 AM (Mon–Fri). Weekend work may be required.

The Quality Technician I is responsible for ensuring that all elements of food safety within the Quality Monitoring Scheme are met and that all regulatory, customer, and company quality initiatives are maintained.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Perform quality checks on production lines in a timely and accurate fashion every hour per line (frequently responsible for 5 lines at any given time).
- Bring discrepancies with the QMS to the attention of the Supervisor or Quality Manager. These discrepancies include HACCP programs, allergen programs, sanitation procedures, GMP findings, foreign material findings, and hold procedures.
- Ensure that the product being produced meets all legal and customer requirements as outlined in the set‑up sheet for each product.
- Complete paperwork in a timely and accurate fashion each day.
- Perform required tasks to maintain 5‑S and keep work areas clean.
- Keep all information pertaining to operations confidential.
- Maintain instrumentation and equipment in good condition and store appropriately.
- Label, store, and organize samples and product retentions.
- Follow hold procedures for all non‑conforming materials or product.
- Perform HACCP and preventive controls checks/tasks as needed.
- Assist in test runs and new product trials as needed.
- Perform other audits or inspections as required.
- Perform other duties as required by supervisor.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Post‑High School education preferred.
- Required – 3 months as a Quality Assurance Technician.
- Preferred – 1 year of experience as a QA Technician or in a related technical department.
- Good attention to detail; able to spot defects on fast‑moving production lines.
- Ability to understand how different machinery operates as it relates to product quality and necessary adjustments.
- Good verbal and written communication skills. Spanish language skills are a plus.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including fractions, ratios, and percentages.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with co‑workers and supervisors.
- Experience with MS Office Suite required.
- Follow all safety processes and procedures set forth by site leadership.
Physical Requirements
- Manufacturing environment – exposure to machines, noise, and varying temperatures.
- Depending on location, environment may be very warm or refrigerated.
- Team environment – must communicate respectfully and professionally.
- Must lift up to 40 lb occasionally and stand or sit for extended periods.
- Must be willing to work necessary overtime based on staffing needs and customer demand, including across shifts.
