Research Technician Position
The laboratory of Dr. Connie Krawczyk at the Van Andel Institute (VAI) is seeking a Research Technician. The Krawczyk lab aims to understand the mechanisms that regulate immune cell function, with an emphasis on epigenetics and cellular metabolism.
This position is available immediately for a motivated scientist who meets the qualifications and description outlined below. The position will involve both lab support responsibilities and driving an independent project. The candidate should have education and experience in biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology and/or immunology.
The candidate will work with Dr. Krawczyk and her research team to identify areas of interest and expertise that will facilitate the highest level of contribution to reach overall project objectives.

Qualifications
- A BSc in immunology, cell biology, biochemistry, epigenetics, human genetics, physiology, molecular biology, or a relevant discipline.
- Hands-on research experience beyond labs associated with classes. At least 1 yr preferred.
- Strong curiosity of science and research.
- Record of productivity.
- Organized, efficient and results oriented.

- Ability and willingness to approach science and day to day activities with a collaborative mindset as a team player.
