We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This role plays a key part in supporting financial operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll entries, and fixed asset management. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment and brings a strong work ethic and a passion for accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable

• Review transaction documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and schedule vendor payments via bank or check.
• Record payments and reconcile vendor accounts.
• Maintain weekly cash flow schedules and share updates with leadership.
• Generate aging reports and cash flow projections.

Accounts Receivable

• Generate and send accurate customer invoices based on sales and change orders.
• Post payments and maintain organized records of deposits.
• Monitor and report on delinquent accounts and customer payment profiles.
• Prepare aging reports and cash flow projections.
• Handle check/cash deposits and resolve NSF issues.

General Accounting & Support

• Record transactions, prepare reports and budgets, and assist with client/vendor communications.
• Post payroll journal entries and collaborate with HR on payroll matters.
• Run credit checks on customers and maintain historical financial records.
• Support purchasing activities and manage the fixed assets schedule.
• Provide phone coverage and assist other departments with reporting needs.

Qualifications:

• Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
• Associate’s degree in Accounting or minimum 2 years of accounting experience.
• Strong work ethic and eagerness to collaborate across teams.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
