This role is responsible for properly cutting all types of meats into various cuts and preparing related products, maintaining quality and trim according to company standards, and ensuring the work shift contributes to the financial best interests of the store. All other duties as assigned are completed in a timely manner.

• Cut and weigh steaks, chops, and other meats for individual servings.
• Produce value‑added products per established guidelines.
• Cut, trim, and bone carcass sections or prime cuts to reduce to cooking cuts.
• Follow recipes to grind, tray meats, and make sausage and other products.
• Price, date, wrap, and/or bag meat products per department guidelines using scales.
• Fill, rotate, and merchandise shelves, cases, and displays.
• Notify manager when products and supplies need ordering.
• Receive, unload, and stock merchandise.
• Maintain familiarity with all department products, including price, taste, and preparation differences.
• Practice suggestive selling techniques with customers.
• Maintain a clean, attractive, and well‑stocked department.
• Follow all PPE and safety guidelines.
• Follow food safety, cleaning expectations, and guest experience guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments as needed.

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Prior experience as a Meat Cutter or Apprentice strongly preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Suggestive selling knowledge and product knowledge.
• Detail oriented.

The role requires lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The associate must stand and walk for extended periods, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently, and work in a typical retail store environment with varied temperatures and occasional outside weather.
