Grocery Key Holder

Role Summary

As a Grocery Team Leader (Key Holder) you will open and close the store, assist with daily operations, manage merchandise, provide customer service, handle cash, and develop team members. You will be a key contributor to the store’s success and a stepping stone to future leadership positions.

• Open and close the store.
• Help complete daily store operations and tasks.
• Assist in unloading all merchandise from delivery trucks, organizing merchandise, and transferring it from the stockroom to the store.
• Maintain merchandise – product rotation, proper food handling, receiving, and ensuring product quality.
• Provide exceptional customer service – build relationships, solve problems, and drive sales.
• Handle cash – bank deposits, give change to cashiers, set and count registers.
• Build and train the team; develop leadership skills by supervising sales associates.

• 1–2 years of retail experience with progressively increasing responsibility.
• Valid driver’s license strongly preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly and lift above shoulder height frequently.
• Flexible, full‑time schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to safely operate power equipment.
• Pass pre‑employment checks—including a drug screen and criminal background check.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to respond to alarm calls during non‑working hours and to work shifts at other stores in the local area if needed.
