Retail Associate — Sales, Cashier & Fulfillment

Job Description:

The ideal Nordstrom Rack team member enjoys working in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment. You’ll make the customer experience quick, easy and fun while helping customers uncover the great deals they’re looking for. Multiple roles are available in Sales, Cashier, Stock and/or Fulfillment departments.

• Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting customers, taking them to the fitting rooms, sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
• Motivate and inspire others to adopt initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
• Keep the stockrooms organized and complete all inventory processes, ensuring merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
• Work with the team to keep the sale’s floor “runway ready” through re‑merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
• Assist customers with a variety of transactions through a seamless and friendly experience.
• Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment.
• Defuse customer situations and provide resolutions in a timely and effective manner.

• Receive, unload freight, unpack and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
• Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards.
• Prepare and ship customer’s orders following quality, packing and shipping standards.
• Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
• Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
• Provide general support to the store, e.g. set up special events, organize backroom, markdowns and relocate store fixtures.

• Clear, effective communication with strong interpersonal skills.
• Accountability, initiative and a high level of ownership.
• Organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• The ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds (Stock Support or Fulfillment role).
• The ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.

$16.20 – $16.85 hourly. Pay offers are dependent on the location as well as job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may differ for other locations.
