Stocking, Retail & Store Manager
Position Overview
This role assists in leading the day‑to‑day activities of the department operations in a retail store. Responsibilities include ensuring associates are trained, the department is fully staffed, operates at company standards, and meets all company goals and key performance indicators.
Responsibilities- Order and maintain inventory in the department, using inventory control procedures to ensure product freshness and quality.
- Cut and weigh steaks, chops, and other products for individual servings.
- Review and validate received orders for amount, quality, count or weight, condition, and ensure all product is stored in appropriate areas.
- Assist the Department Manager in managing a team that completes stocking, production, and additional tasks to ensure product quality, production planning, accuracy, and date‑sensitive rotation, while handling spoiled or damaged products per established guidelines.
- Maintain familiarity with all products carried in the department and throughout the store, including advertised items, special prices, coupon deals, and other promotional features.
- Ensure the weekly and period flight plans are communicated and executed to company expectations and timelines.
- Follow company policies and timelines using required tools and software to manage scheduling according to forecasted guidelines.
- Assist the Department Manager in implementing and maintaining work schedules, labor control, overtime control, and payroll expense for the department.
- Model core values and competencies and implement the company Winning Recipe.
- Manage the department, including staffing, training, performance management, and associate career development.
- Develop and monitor department forecasts as required.
- Attend and participate in daily huddles.
- Maintain a clean, attractive, and well‑stocked department following structure of the day guidelines and Prime Time standards.
- Ensure all food safety, cleaning, PPE, and safety guidelines are followed throughout the store and take immediate corrective action when necessary.
- Support guest experience guidelines and may be assigned tasks in other departments as needed.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED).
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Suggestive selling/knowledge of products preferred.
- Detail oriented.
- Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, etc.).
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Requires standing and walking for extended periods, frequent bending, stooping, twisting, and turning. Work environment includes varied temperatures, occasional exposure to outside weather, and low to moderate noise levels. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
