Produce Associate

Spartan Nash Associates, LLC is seeking a Produce Associate to join our people first retail team. In this role, you'll stock and rotate fresh fruits and vegetables, maintain attractive, clean displays, and ensure proper handling, storage, and pricing. You'll monitor product quality, remove out of date items, and follow food safety and sanitation standards. The Produce Associate assists customers with product selection, answers questions, and provides friendly service at all times.

You'll support inventory counts, backroom organization, and merchandising sets while working collaboratively with teammates in a fast paced grocery environment.

Responsibilities

• Stock, rotate, and replenish fresh produce according to company standards
• Set and maintain clean, attractive produce displays and signage
• Monitor product quality, remove damaged or out of date items
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature control guidelines
• Provide friendly customer service and assist with product selection
• Support inventory counts and backroom organization
• Ensure accurate pricing, labels, and promotional displays
• Operate equipment (carts, pallet jacks) safely as trained
• Maintain cleanliness of department, coolers, and work areas
• Work collaboratively with store team to meet department goals
