Produce Lead

Spartan Nash Associates, LLC is seeking a Produce Lead to oversee daily operations of our produce department. You will ensure fresh, well stocked, visually appealing displays while maintaining quality, rotation, and food safety standards. Responsibilities include ordering and inventory control, minimizing shrink, setting and adjusting merchandising based on seasons and promotions, and leading a small team through training, scheduling, and coaching.

You'll deliver friendly, knowledgeable customer service, support store sales goals, and uphold Spartan Nash's people first, values driven culture every day.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the produce department
• Ensure freshness, rotation, and food safety compliance for all produce items
• Maintain visually appealing, well stocked merchandising and seasonal displays
• Manage ordering, inventory levels, and shrink control
• Lead, train, and schedule produce associates to meet service and productivity goals
• Deliver friendly, knowledgeable customer service and respond to product questions
• Support execution of promotions, ads, and planograms
• Monitor department cleanliness, organization, and equipment condition
• Assist with sales tracking and help meet store and department revenue targets
