We're seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business opportunities and develop long-term client relationships throughout the commercial furniture and design industry. This role is ideal for someone with experience selling contract furniture, architectural products, commercial interiors, millwork, or related construction products. You'll work directly with architects, interior designers, dealers, end users, developers, and general contractors to secure projects ranging from individual executive offices to large-scale corporate headquarters and hospitality installations.
WhatYou'll Do
- Develop new business relationships with architects, interior designers, commercial furniture dealers, developers, general contractors, and corporate clients.
- Identify and pursue new project opportunities within commercial, hospitality, education, healthcare, and restaurant markets.
- Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle, from prospecting to project completion.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Present custom furniture and millwork solutions tailored to client needs.
- Collaborate with estimating, engineering, project management, and production teams to develop competitive proposals.
- Attend client meetings, networking events, industry trade shows, and project presentations.
- Maintain accurate sales activity and forecasting within CRM software.
- Achieve and exceed established sales goals.
- 5+ years of successful B2B sales experience.
- Experience in commercial furniture, contract furniture, architectural products, millwork, construction, or commercial interiors preferred.
- Existing relationships within the A&D (Architecture & Design) community are highly desirable.
- Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to read architectural drawings and project specifications is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Willingness to travel throughout assigned territory.
