Sales Specialist

Ambient Recruiting has partnered with a leading manufacturing organization in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to hire a Sales Specialist. This individual will support the Sales Team by coordinating bidding activities, collaborating with Pricing and Engineering teams to gather and communicate information, and assisting Business Development Managers in researching and pursuing opportunities with both current and prospective customers.

• Work with the Purchasing team, Engineering team, Suppliers and Customers to facilitate bid opportunities
• Assist with the preparation of proposals and communicate to customers
• Provide pricing and technical assistance to both internal and external customers
• Help facilitate the effective hand-off of information from bid to contract performance phase
• Facilitate pricing opportunities in a timely manner
• Research the defense, aerospace and space market conditions to determine potential business opportunities
• Participate in launch support teams
  
  Provide excellent Customer Service to external customers to ensure a high level of customer support.

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or related discipline
• 2 years of experience in customer service, account management, sales and/or marketing
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Power Point
• Ability to travel up to 10%
