Role
The Pain Territory Account Manager (PTAM) focuses on building relationships within hospital and ambulatory surgical centers to promote JOURNAVX, a selective NaV
1.8 inhibitor for acute pain. Objectives include advancing formulary access, educating healthcare professionals on product use, and driving sales growth within assigned institutions.
- Stakeholder engagement across clinical and administrative levels
- Navigating formulary processes
- Developing strategic account plans
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Territory Business Managers and payers, ensuring compliance and ethical standards
- 5-7+ years in biotech sales, with hospital product launch experience preferred
- 3+ years of account management leveraging institutional relationships
- Proficiency in hospital system navigation, formulary processes, and IT tools like Veeva CRM
- Demonstrated success in launching new products is advantageous
- Focus on acute pain management, hospital and surgical center markets, formulating access strategies, with up to 80% travel within designated territory
- Role involves post-market product promotion and stakeholder engagement in a regulated biopharma environment
