Account Development Coordinator

The Account Development Coordinator will handle daily operational tasks for all accounts affiliated with the Account Development Representatives and Account Executives. Their main responsibilities will include managing same-day freight and accruing spot freight opportunities, while regularly updating shipment statuses to ensure timely pickups and deliveries. Working closely with the Operations Department, ADRs and AEs, the ADC will strive to gain a better understanding of how to effectively develop accounts and understand the responsibilities of managing the customer facing side of our business.

The end goal is promotion to the next Account Development Representative.

• Assist in Securing Spot Freight Opportunities:
  Actively engaged with the ADR and AE team to secure coverage for freight yet to be awarded for all modes of transportation.
• Coordinate Same-Day/Hot Shipments Shipments:
  Ensure timely pickups by managing and posting all same-day/Hot shipments to load boards, coordinating coverage effectively.
• Track and Update Shipments:
  Monitor and update the status of all shipments related to the account. Assist with collecting Proof of Delivery (POD), Bills of Lading (BOL), and other necessary documentation to ensure loads are closed out and invoiced promptly.
• Collaborate with Account Development Representatives, Account Executives and the Operations Department:
  Work closely with Account Development Representatives (ADR) and Account Executives (AE) to ensure adequate coverage on both awarded and spot freight opportunities within a network of repeat or owned carriers, coordinating in advance to meet shipping requirements.
• Leverage Technology:
  Utilize all available technology and software applications to enhance data collection and coverage, aiming to optimize the success of the account.
• Handle Account Support:
  Gradually take on additional responsibilities such as load building, scheduling, requesting accessorial charges, and providing customer updates as needed along with managing your own accounts.
• Optimize Operational Efficiency:
  Continuously seek out and implement improvements to streamline operations and enhance service delivery for the ADR and AE accounts.
• Maintain Customer Relationships:
  Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing any concerns or issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.

• Professional, timely and efficient communication with operations (i.e. Proactive update requests, collecting paperwork, monitor tracking updates)

• Bid on ALL spot market opportunities that fit Ally’s capabilities
