Summary

Sr QA and Sensory Technologist supports the retailer's overall program objectives through management and implementation of quality assurance practices such as product monitoring and evaluation, customer feedback programs and supplier standards. The role manages relationships with retailer cross‑functional teams, customers and manufacturers, reviews and adjusts current processes and procedures to maximize efficiencies, and ensures timely submission of regulatory applications for the private brands program to maintain retailer compliance.

Job Duty

  • Manage the development, implementation and administration of Quality Assurance operational procedures, policies, programs and systems
  • Assist in the overall product development process and maintenance of the on‑site sensory test kitchen
  • Support the private label quality assurance testing program for specific products or clients
  • Lead day‑to‑day management of the retailer's customer feedback programs for private brands
  • Resolve issues or concerns regarding current product quality and recommend corrective actions with vendors
  • Assist in auditing critical categories for quality integrity and food safety
  • Design, execute, and analyze results from consumer tests and sensory evaluations of private‑label and competitive brand products
  • Compile federal and state regulations for products and packaging

This position has no supervisory responsibilities for direct reports.

This position has no guidance or mentoring responsibilities for indirect reports.

Travel and/or Driving Requirements:
Travel and driving are not essential duties or functions of this job.

Minimum Qualifications

Education Level (Required):
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Field of Study/Area of

Experience:

Business Administration, Food Science or Related Field.

Experience:

2+ Years.
