State of Michigan's EGLE seeks a Geologist to provide statewide coverage of the Orphan Well Plugging and Environmental Services program at oil and gas wells and production facilities. The role coordinates contracts, offers technical advice, documents activities, and ensures projects meet department mission.
The position also serves as a district area geologist, conducting inspections, reviews, and enforcement under Parts 201, 615, 616, and 625 of the NREPA, in a defined geographic area.
