DK Security is Michigan’s fastest growing security company. Established in 1995, we began as an investigations firm and quickly expanded to provide uniform security, event staff security, loss prevention services, and much more based on the needs of our clients.

Event Staff Security Officers provide crowd control services for events such as concerts, sporting events, trade shows, and conferences at various locations. They ensure the safety of patrons, employees, and visitors at large (and small) scale events.

• Evenings/Weekends
• Limited Day shifts
• Scheduled for a minimum 4–6 events per month

• Rate of Pay: $18.50/hour

• Shuttle service offered to transport employees to and from various designated parking locations to the Amphitheater

Downtown and Metro Grand Rapids, MI Event Venues

• Safety and wellbeing of patrons, guests, and performers
• Hospitality security with all clients, guests, and co‑workers
• Access control
• Follow venue‑specific guidelines
• Perform foot patrols

• Reliability – report for your shift on time, presentable, and in the prescribed uniform
• Friendly personality – balance outstanding customer service with client policies and enforce rules
• Follow company and client policies – read and interpret written post‑guidelines, follow procedures, and ensure all tasks are completed
• Use of de‑escalation techniques – defuse situations through communication tactics

• At least 18 years old or older
• High school diploma or GED
• No felony convictions; must pass a criminal background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws
• Available to work a minimum of 4+ events per month
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
• Physical requirements:
• Stand or walk for 4–8 hour shifts
• Respond promptly to emergency situations
• Work outdoors during operational hours
• Hear conversations (in person or via 2‑way radio) in noisy environments
• Lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
