Security, Security Guard

DK Security is Michigan’s fastest growing security company. Established in 1995, we began as an investigations firm and expanded to provide uniform security, event staff security, loss prevention services, and more according to client needs.

$15.00 to $19.54 per hour

Part-Time (Some sites offer full-time hours). Hours and pay vary by contract; assignments are based on qualifications and interviews.

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Have above average computer skills; use multiple applications daily.
• Assist calling parties with emergency, security and general assistance needs.
• Follow dispatch procedures for emergency and non‑emergency response.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory procedures and policies.
• Monitor CCTV system; daily checks and report maintenance needs.
• Operate, test, and enter data for computerized and electronic security equipment.
• Create and maintain reports and files; assist in updates.
• Multi‑task and work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Follow site‑specific posting guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Good moral character; must pass background check—no felonies, no certain misdemeanors (sexual conduct, theft, assault, illegal substances, repeated alcohol offenses, or crimes of moral turpitude). Must be able to pass drug test at hire and annually.
• Present a friendly, positive, professional image; comply with Appearance and Grooming policy.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Read and write in English; interpret safety rules, operating procedures, maintenance instructions and reports.
• Reliable transportation; clean driving record: ≤ 3 moving violations in last 3 years, ≤ 2 at‑fault accidents, no other major violations.

• You must be physically and mentally sound.
• Use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls.
• Reach with hands and arms; hold objects.
• Sit, stand, or walk for 8‑12 hour shifts, including walking long distances and possibly stairs.
• Respond readily to emergency situations.
• Work indoors or outdoors in all seasons.
• Hear conversations in noisy environments.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
