Job Summary
Coordinates emergent and non-emergent requests for Corewell Health Security services. Acts as a liaison between Staff, Patients, and Visitors by dispatching Campus Security Officers to routine and emergency calls for service. Receives and coordinates radio and telephone communications for Corewell Health. Prioritizes calls for service based on urgency and initiates appropriate action. Queries callers to obtain detailed incident information, records all officer duties and activities via our Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD).
Operates and monitors multiple security system technologies including systems for video management, access control, panic/duress, infant protection, fire alarms, medical emergency code system, and 800MHz radio communication. Performs security technology system preventative maintenance checks, system troubleshooting, and initiates work orders to address identified issues. Notifies appropriate supervisors, managers, leadership, and/or business assurance of critical alarms or incidents on a 24-hour basis.

Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of relevant experience Security, Emergency, Medical, or Facilities Dispatch Communication experience or two combined years of customer service, call center, or dispatching experience
- 1 year of relevant experience with Microsoft Office
- Preferred Associate's Degree in Facilities, Criminal Justice, Security, Public Administration, Emergency Management or equivalent
- 1 year of relevant experience working knowledge of security systems technology (video management, access control, and radio communications system)
- 1 year of relevant experience
- Emergency Telecommunicator Certification (ETC)
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Patient Transport Upon Hire Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Patient Transport Upon Hire
- 20 hours of Continuing Dispatch Education (CDE) required per year once hired.
