Vander Hyde Mechanical, a family-owned business located on the Northwest side of Grand Rapids, is seeking a motivated Plumbing Service Technician!

The Plumbing Service Technician is a key member of our team, performing service work on plumbing systems in commercial and residential environments. A plumbing service technician has advanced knowledge of maintaining, repairing, diagnosing, and correctly installing or replacing plumbing systems. A typical workday involves troubleshooting, installing, repairing, developing and presenting recommendations, educating customers on the proper use and upkeep of plumbing systems, and documenting the records from each appointment.

Skills and abilities:

* Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

* Advanced knowledge in plumbing systems

* Must be able to perform work duties satisfactorily.

* Ability to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items and work from heights or small spaces.

* Ability to work with minimal supervision using technical judgment regarding complex tasks.

* Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

* Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Requirements:

* Valid Driver's license and Insurable driving record

* 2 or more years of service plumbing experience

* Journeyman Plumber License

* Possess basic hand tools

$28- $45 based on experience

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Based on demand, hours may vary.
