Video/Welcome Techs
- Hourly Pay: $26.50 per hour
- Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained, up to $700
- Quarterly Bonus: up to $500 each quarter—four times per year
- Sign‑On Bonus: $2,000 at 30 days and $2,000 at 90 days
- Schedule:
Monday–Friday - Hours:
Second Shift 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm
We want the right Maintenance Repair Mechanic to join us at Ryder to work on Heavy Duty Vehicles.

- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Vocational or technical certification, post‑secondary degree or technical certifications (preferred)
- Basic tools, required
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines, including routine preventative maintenance such as oil changes, brake and tire work
- Two (2) years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience (preferred)
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A (preferred)
- Must be able to obtain a CDL within 6 months after hire
- Pass a Ryder drug test
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties
- Perform standard vehicle maintenance
- Perform standard component inspections and repairs
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Diagnose standard mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable
- Identify root cause of basic failures/conditions and perform repairs as required
- Replace defective components as instructed
- Perform facility maintenance duties
- Interact with customers/drivers to determine the nature of a complaint once assigned a task
- Utilize key functions of shop management system and electronic documentation available
- Work in accordance with all federal/provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (i.e., safety, DOT, MOT)
- Perform other support duties as required to support operations, including but not limited to Service Island support
