Job Summary
Under minimal supervision, performs diagnostic and service work on commercial (5+ tons) HVAC equipment and accessories. Communicates with customer to answer questions, resolves problems, and ensures complete customer satisfaction. Promotes products and services to customer. Works under the direction of the Field Supervisor or General Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve customer concerns in commercial environments.
- Perform service on commercial heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment as well as accessories.
- Perform start‑ups on air conditioning as required.
- Deliver and remove equipment needed to complete service work.
- Provide excellent service to commercial customers and sustain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer concerns, questions or problems in an effective manner.
- Prepare material requisition forms to ensure proper truck stock levels.
- Perform maintenance on equipment, servicing and/or cleaning IAQ products, soldering, welding, brazing, and performing minor field fabrication.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- License in commercial HVAC required (Gasfitter 2 or Gasfitter 1 License) with Refrigeration license (313A License) preferred.
- License in plumbing, electrical work, sheet metal, or refrigeration an asset.
- Proven mechanical aptitude and experience in the commercial HVAC field.
- Ability to operate all necessary tools and equipment to perform various projects.
- Adept at servicing commercial heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment, as well as related accessories.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering customer-focused service.
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and production diagrams.
- Ability to work overtime and weekend hours as required.
- Must meet the minimum requirements for background check criteria.
