Responsible for all functional areas of carpentry, including communication with general trades foremen, general trades manager, co‑workers, and other subcontractors. Must be able to work and communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals, manage multiple tasks in a timely manner, work in a fast‑paced environment, work as part of a team or group, and possess a willingness to learn and be taught.
Responsible for his/her own actions and conduct under the law, adhering to all local, state, federal, OSHA regulations, and company safety directives and policies.
- Design, construct, install, remodel, retrofit, and repair interior and exterior structures made of wood, drywall, plaster, concrete, or brick.
- Design, construct, install, retrofit, and repair cabinets, tables, shelves, benches, partitions, flooring, door and window frames, and other types of furniture.
- Clean, maintain, adjust, calibrate, and service equipment used in the performance of duties.
- Install, repair, and maintain building roofs.
- Assist in writing specifications for repairs and new construction.
- High school diploma or GED; or one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, building plans, details, and specifications. - Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to add and subtract two‑digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s; ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance; ability to read a tape measure. - Reasoning Ability:
Apply common sense to carry out simple one or two‑step instructions; apply common sense to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations; deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. - Computer Operations:

- Work in cramped areas—boom lifts and scissors lift.
- Work in awkward body positions.
- Work for long periods in air/on steel.
- Use hands and arms fully.
- Walk over voided spaces, muddy, icy, wet, slippery, and/or uneven terrain.
- Climb up and down ladders, scaffolding, or other objects and maintain balance.
- Access multiple levels of an unapproved building/incomplete project.
- Tolerate heights without fear.
- Bend over for long periods of time (tying/welding steel together, spotting clips, crimping roof, pouring concrete, etc.).
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl to reach for and position reinforcing material.
- Work under adverse weather conditions.
