Job Summary
Apartment Management Professionals, LLC (AMP Residential) is seeking to hire a Maintenance Technician to join our team at Aspen Lakes Apartments & Wyndham Hill Apartments. These apartment communities have 250 units and 192 units, and are located in Grand Rapids, MI. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the property in a safe, attractive, and comfortable condition.
This individual will maintain relationships with other service staff, residents and vendors.
- Prepare vacant apartment homes for occupancy by making any necessary repairs
- Complete work orders in occupied homes while providing fast, friendly service
- Follow preventive maintenance guidelines
- Maintain property grounds
- Handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and all other service requests
- Work with team to achieve property goals
- Follow safety procedures
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms
- Position requires ability to climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear
- Must be able to lift or move 100 lbs occasionally
- Hard worker with strong customer service skills
- 1-2 years of facilities maintenance required
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
- Must be able to work well independently and in a team
- Experience with pools preferred
- EPA Certification highly preferred; will need to obtain within 90 days of employment
- Valid driver's license with auto insurance
- Excellent customer service skills
- Facilities maintenance experience is a plus
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
- Must be available after hours and weekends for on‑call responsibilities (rotated schedule)
