Window Service Technician
The Window Service Technician is responsible for performing on-site diagnostics, repairs, and adjustments to windows, doors, and other related products. This role involves troubleshooting issues, executing repairs, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and quality service.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair window and door issues on-site.
- Perform necessary adjustments to ensure proper function.
- Effectively handle customer concerns and provide excellent service.
- Communicate clearly with customers to ensure satisfaction.
- Complete work orders and take detailed notes using technology such as iPads.
- Experience in window installation and setting.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Customer service experience, with a customer-facing approach.
- Proficiency with technology, including using iPads.
- Good driving record is necessary.
- Experience with construction and finish carpentry.
Skills & Qualifications
- Carpentry skills are beneficial.
- Experience with doors and windows installation.
- Ability to operate various hand and power tools such as nail gun, staple gun, hammer, single-blade utility knife, circular saw, level, and square.
- Ability to calculate measurements and perform basic calculations.
- Intermediate analytical ability and ability to read and understand written and oral instructions.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment includes day shifts starting at 7 am, with the possibility of extended hours until 6 pm. The position requires flexibility and involves traveling mainly in Western Michigan, with occasional trips to Lansing or Northern Michigan. Technicians work individually 99% of the time, both inside and outside, so dressing for the weather is necessary. The role involves working Monday to Friday, with little to no work required on Saturdays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
