Maintenance Technician – 3rd Shift Oral Care
Location: Grand Rapids, MI, US, 49512.
Description OverviewWe are seeking a Maintenance Technician | Asset Reliability Technician to join our Oral Care facility in Kentwood, MI.
Shift DetailsShift: 3rd (Sunday Night Start) Monday-Friday | Saturday - OT as needed |
Work Schedule:
8 Hour Shifts | 10:30pm-6:40am
- Position has potential to evolve into an apprenticeship opportunity, contingent upon interest and program availability.
- Responsible for troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing equipment, suggest methods of process improvement, participate in continuous improvement projects.
- Troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot/service intermediate electrical and machine controls circuit defined as:
- Conveyor drive system
- Motor starter circuits including Variable Frequency Drives
- I/O – Switch Functions
- Equipment wiring/grounding techniques
- A/C & D/C Electronic concepts
- Read/Interpret relay and PLC Ladder Logic.
- Participate and assist in machine installations, suggesting and implementing machinery upgrades/improvements.
- Asset Reliability Technicians must have thorough working knowledge of primary mechanical, electrical, and machine controls.
- Preferred 2-4 years of formal education in industrial/electrical maintenance from an accredited technical center or approved recognized apprenticeship program at least 2-5 years of applicable work experience.
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral work instructions in English, such as safety, quality, and GMP guidelines.
- Must possess and demonstrate aptitude in the mechanical and electrical, machine controls, and pneumatics/vacuum primary skills.
- Must be familiar with current machinery and control technologies.
- Support effective implementation of all GMP requirements and understand how it affect products/processes supported and/or owned.
- Experience with robotic systems and automation.
- Consistently/Frequently – stand, walk, lift 15-25 lbs., climb ladders/stairs, twisting, reach, grasp, move items, feel with hands/fingers.
- Occasionally – sit, lift above shoulders and head, squat, reach above shoulders and head.
- Rarely – pulling and pushing, stoop/bend, kneeling.
- Consistently/Frequently – exposure to loud noises/machinery.
- Occasionally – exposure to chemicals.
- Rarely – enter confined spaces.
- Indoor, climate-controlled environment.
- Consistently/Frequently – see (vision), hear, ability to read and write, ability to interpret information, basic to intermediate math skills, reading and writing in English. Simple decision-making skills - crew rotation, cleaning, and operational tasks/order. Basic to intermediate problem-solving skills - Method Troubleshooting. Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems with minimal oversight.
