RSS Mobile Trailer Repair is a growing powerhouse in the Trucking Industry. RSS has been in business for over 31 years, and has nearly 400 team members located in 17 states. We are currently looking to expand our shop team in the Grand Rapids, MI area.

A successful candidate for this position will be an experienced Trailer Mechanic or diesel mechanic, with a strong understanding of semi-trailer diagnostics and repair. Someone who is self-motivated, able to work independently, safety-minded, and able to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers.

• Inspect and diagnose malfunctions on all trailer systems.
• Troubleshoot, repair and replace defective components.
• Perform regular check-ups and preventative maintenance on trailers and parts, including: ABS, air brakes, frame, body, suspension and electrical systems.
• Coordinate with other staff to receive, execute and bill work in a timely and proper manner.
• Help maintain positive working relationships with current customers.

• $25-$30/hour or commensurate with experience.
• Quarterly performance bonus after 90 days.
• Schedule:
  
  Monday–Friday / Days.
• Paid holiday.
• 401K.
• Bi-weekly paychecks. Overtime after 40 hours.
• Clothing & boot allowance after 90 days.

• Must be an experienced Trailer Mechanic.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to pass a physical and drug screen.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
