About the RoleIf you love working with your hands, solving problems, and helping people, but are tired of the hassle of chasing down leads, writing bids, and managing billing, this role is designed for you. As a Craftsman with Ace Handyman Services, you will focus on what you do best: delivering high-quality home repairs and improvements. We handle the scheduling, customer service, and paperwork so you can focus on the craft.
We are currently looking for both full-time and part-time Craftsmen who take pride in their work and want a stable, supportive environment. You will work directly with homeowners and commercial clients on a wide variety of small-to-medium projects, making a tangible difference in their homes and lives every day.
What Success Looks LikeOn a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Review your scheduled jobs for the day, which are booked and organized for you by our office team.
- Travel to residential and light commercial sites to complete a variety of multi-trade tasks.
- Evaluate projects, explain the scope of work clearly to customers, and provide accurate timelines.
- Perform high-quality work in carpentry, drywall repair, trim installation, painting, and light plumbing or electrical tasks.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area and leave every job site cleaner than you found it.
- Over time, success in this role means becoming a trusted advisor to our clients and maintaining high customer satisfaction ratings. You will have the independence to manage your tasks on-site while having the full backing of a supportive administrative team.
- Multi-trade experience: Solid, hands-on experience in general repairs such as drywall, minor electric and plumbing (replacing fixtures), interior and exterior trim, general repairs.
- Tools of the trade: Your own standard hand and power tools fit for residential repair work.
- Reliable transportation: A valid driver's license and a reliable truck, van, or utility vehicle capable of carrying your tools and materials to job sites safely. Company vehicle may be available.
- Communication skills: The ability to speak professionally with customers, listen to their needs, and explain repair options clearly.
- Documentation skills: Comfort using a smartphone to view schedules, log hours, and take before-and-after photos of your work.
- Background check: Ability to pass a standard background check.
We believe in treating our team members like the professionals they are. Here is what you can expect when you join us:
- Flexible scheduling: Both full-time and part-time positions are available to fit your lifestyle.
- W-2 employment: Enjoy the stability of regular pay, worker's compensation, and tax withholding, rather than the uncertainty of 1099 contract work.
- Independence: You work independently in the field without someone looking over your shoulder, but with support only a phone call away.
- Administrative support: We handle all marketing, scheduling, customer communications, billing, and insurance.
- Steady work: Our Office Team works hard to supply you with an ongoing schedule of appointments.
