Career Opportunity Maintenance Technician — Night Shift Hamilton, MI
Advanced Architectural Products (A2P), creator of Green Girt CMH and Green Girt Steel continuous insulation, and SMARTci building enclosure systems, located in Hamilton, MI, is continually growing and is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team on the night shift, from 8:30pm to 9:00am. This role supports regular maintenance and reliability of our facility and production equipment used to manufacture pultruded fiberglass products and resin/polymer mixtures.
Candidates should be able to work independently and respond to downtime needs safely and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain a variety of industrial machinery
- Read and understand manuals and schematics
- General building maintenance experience and be able to read mechanical drawings
- Process machine maintenance, answering downtime calls safely and efficiently
- Scheduling of machine downtime and preventive maintenance
- Process machine launch and development
- Work with and understand machine controls
- Research equipment or component needs sources, competitive prices, delivery times, or ongoing operational costs
- Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers or field representatives as necessary to procure replacement parts and repair with minimal downtime
- Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work
- Maintain systems logs or manuals to document testing or operation of equipment
- Install, replace, or change machine parts according to production specifications
- Maintain and repair building systems – HVAC, dust collection, ventilation, equipment air systems & equipment
- Repairing or rerouting shop power sources such as electric, air and water
- Repair small shop tools as needed, such as grinders, buffers, saws, etc.
- Must be able to build or rebuild machinery as necessary
- Proficient in electrical schematics
- Must be able to read/write and perform basic mathematical calculations
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Journeyman Machine repair trade (preferred)
- Demonstrated maintenance hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment: 5–10 years (required)
- Electrical troubleshooting experience (required)
- Licensed electrician or in the process of acquiring a license or certification (a plus)
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Schedule:Night shift, 4 12-hour days per week, 8:30pm–9am, with occasional 5 12-hour days per week
Pay: $30–37 per hour
