Facility Technician

Suburban Inns, a family-founded West Michigan hospitality company, is seeking a Facility Technician to support our hotels and restaurants in Hudsonville, MI. In this hands-on role, you'll perform routine and emergency maintenance on guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, and building systems to ensure safe, comfortable, and well-functioning spaces. Duties include preventive maintenance, basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs, responding to work orders, and supporting minor renovations.

You'll work closely with operations teams, modeling integrity, reliability, and guest-first service while growing your skills in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on hotel and restaurant facilities, equipment, and systems
• Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests and emergencies
• Troubleshoot basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry issues
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized mechanical and maintenance areas
• Complete work orders accurately and communicate status to leadership
• Assist with room and public area repairs, painting, and minor renovations
• Follow all safety, brand, and company standards and procedures
• Support teamwork across departments to minimize guest disruption
