PositionSummary
As an HVAC Install Apprentice, you'll support licensed technicians and installers with setting up and installing heating and air conditioning systems in homes and businesses, learning hands-on as you go. It's a trade with steady, reliable demand, and this is where you start building real skills for a long-term career.
Key Responsibilities- Assist HVAC installers with the setup, installation, and replacement of HVAC systems,including ductwork and wiring
- Prepare tools, materials, and work areas, and perform basic tasks like measuring, cutting,drilling, and assembling under supervision
- Follow blueprints, schematics, and project instructions from senior technicians, ensuring allwork meets building codes and safety regulations
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites, and document work performed and time logs as required
- Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers, and take part in training andsafety meetings to build your HVAC trade knowledge

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Enrollment in or interest in an HVAC apprenticeship or trade school program preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge of hand and power tools
- Willingness to learn HVAC installation practices and safety protocols
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods
- Work performed indoors, outdoors, and sometimes in confined spaces or varying weather conditions
- Field-based role with daily travel to residential and commercial job sites
- May require evening, weekend, or overtime work depending on project schedules
