Field Service Technician

Our organization is looking for a dedicated and capable Field Service Technician to focus on the upkeep, restoration, and diagnostic assessment of material handling machinery, such as automated systems, conveyors, forklifts, and pallet jacks. You will be expected to travel roughly half of the time across the Midwest to provide essential on-site technical assistance to our clients.

Primary Duties:

• Execute on-site troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance tasks for diverse material handling hardware.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance to keep systems running smoothly.
• Assist in the setup and installation of new machinery.
• Keep detailed records, service logs, and documentation of all completed work.
• Provide clear updates to clients regarding repair status, project timelines, and technical challenges.
• Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by strictly following all safety protocols and corporate guidelines.
• Coordinate with internal parts and technical support teams to resolve complex issues.

Qualifications:

• Completion of high school or a GED, with preference given to those who have attended technical school.
• At least two years of hands-on experience working with hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical systems, ideally within the material handling sector.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and troubleshoot technical failures.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and a history of safe driving.
• Flexibility to travel throughout the Midwest up to 50% of the time, including potential overnight stays.
• Strong interpersonal skills to ensure a positive experience for our customers.
• Physical capability to lift 50 lbs and perform duties in various settings, including distribution hubs and warehouses.
