Job Summary:
We are hiring a Property Maintenance Technician for a property management company in Grand Rapids, MI. This company manages a variety of residential and commercial properties, including single-family homes, duplexes, multi-family buildings, and businesses. They are looking for a well-rounded maintenance technician who can troubleshoot issues, complete general repairs, and help determine when an outside contractor is needed. This is a long-term, full-time opportunity with a consistent Monday-Friday schedule.
PropertyMaintenance Technician Requirements:
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues and complete general property repairs
- Drywall repair, painting, and general building maintenance
- Basic plumbing and electrical repairs
- Appliance troubleshooting and repair
- Basic HVAC troubleshooting
- Complete service requests at residential and commercial properties
- Communicate with property management and outside contractors regarding maintenance issues
- Help identify the cause of an issue before a contractor is brought onsite
- Travel between properties in the Grand Rapids area and Lansing as needed
- 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
- $25.00/HR
Qualifications:
- Previous property, apartment, building maintenance, construction, or similar hands-on maintenance experience
- Well-rounded knowledge of general repairs and troubleshooting
- Ability to use power tools and basic hand tools
- Must have your own vehicle, a valid driver's license, and your own basic set of tools
- Comfortable traveling to Lansing properties approximately 1-2 days per week
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple service requests
- Comfortable working in both residential and commercial properties
- Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds frequently
