Landscape Installation Crew Member

Knapp Valley Gardens is hiring a Landscape Installation Crew Member.

• Follow instructions from foreman and assist with the installation of landscape jobs.
• Operate various tools and equipment, including loaders, chainsaws, cut off saws, brick saws, compactors, shovels, hammers, drills, etc.
• Assist in the construction of all hardscapes and softscapes including brick work, retaining walls, plant installations, etc.
• Lay sod or seed, spread topsoil and mulch.
• Use proper plant care techniques for planting and handling.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
• Ensure that all work activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
• Communicate with customers in a polite and courteous manner.

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is preferred.
• One year of experience in the landscape industry is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe manner.
• Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practices.
• Ability to carry out strenuous physical tasks.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to obtain a chauffeur's license.
• Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis.
• Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain and cold.
• Flexible working hours including occasional weekend work.
