An exciting and fast growing Defense and Space Manufacturing Engineering company located in Michigan, USA who specialise Drone Technology are hiring for a brand new Embedded Software Engineer to join the team and business. This role would be ideal for an Embedded Software Engineer who present or previous experience working on Drones, e-VTOL, Defense, aerospace, or Mission safety‑critical systems
.

Annual Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 per annum

The annual salary on offer for the successful Embedded Software Engineer is $100,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on skillset and experience.

The successful Embedded Software Engineer will be responsible for developing Embedded Systems & Firmware Development that runs within company’s in‑house flight electronics and directly controls vehicle behaviour in the air.

• Education – Degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Robotics or similar field
• 2-5 industry professional years’ experience
• Embedded Software Programming in C, C++
• Experience of PX4, Ardu Pilot or similar open‑source autopilot stacks
• Network interfaces – SPI, I2C, USB, UART, RS232/485, CAN, Ethernet, Modbus
• Experience of microcontrollers – STM
  32, ARM Microcontrollers, PIC, ESP
  32
• Experience of Electronic Speed Controller (ESC) firmware and motor control integration –
  Bonus
• Experience of SITL (Software‑in‑the‑Loop) and HITL (Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop) –
  Bonus
• Industry experience – Drones, e‑VTOL, Defense, aerospace, or Mission safety‑critical systems
• Personal drive, enthusiastic and excitement for new technologies
• Good communication and teamwork skills
