Bus Monitor

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to assist in ensuring the safety and well-being of students during their bus rides. This part-time position is based at our Bus Garage and involves monitoring student behavior, providing assistance to the bus driver, and ensuring a positive and safe environment for all passengers.

• - Monitor student behavior on the bus to ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations.
• - Assist students in boarding and disembarking the bus safely.
• - Address any behavioral issues or conflicts among students in a calm and effective manner.
• - Communicate effectively with the bus driver regarding any concerns or incidents that may arise during the route.
• - Help maintain a clean and organized bus environment.
• - Provide assistance to students with special needs as necessary.
• - Conduct regular safety checks and report any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
• - Attend training sessions and meetings as required.

• - High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• - Previous experience working with children or in a supervisory role is a plus.
• - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• - Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
• - Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to school transportation.
• - Must pass a background check and any required training certifications.
• - Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and late afternoons.
• - Physical ability to assist students as needed, including lifting or helping with mobility.
