Role Summary
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Associate supports the materials management function of the logistics department and indirectly supports the overall sales function. Warehouse Associates ensure that all stock is accounted for, processed, and organized to meet company standards.
Responsibilities- Follow safe work habits and established safety procedures.
- Participate in safety initiatives as assigned.
- Perform defined warehouse activities such as selecting material for shipment and shipping stock.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and promptly.
- Accurately identify and count inventory in assigned areas.
- Truck loading and unloading according to established procedures.
- Back‑up delivery drivers as needed and if qualified.
- Maintain quality and quantity performance and production standards.
- Learn to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and hand trucks.
- Participate in ongoing general housekeeping of the warehouse.
- Check assigned equipment for proper operation/functionality and communicate problems to the Distribution Center Manager.
- Attend meetings and training sessions.
- Perform other warehouse tasks as assigned.

Work Experience: Entry level
Licenses/Certifications: If required to drive, a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record and the ability to pass a DOT Medical Exam and obtain a 1‑Year Card (paid by the company) are required.

Skills:
Ability to use standard office equipment, barcode scanners, printers, and other warehouse equipment; basic math and reasoning skills.
Organization
Skills:
Excellent work ethic, strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to work independently.
Cross‑Functional
Skills:
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under the direction of a Warehouse Manager.
Communication
Skills:
Ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization and to request assistance when appropriate, especially when lifting heavy objects.
Physical, Mental and Visual
Skills:
Ability to frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs; stand, walk, lift, pull, and push throughout the shift; climb stairs/step ladders up to 16 steps.
Physical Environment: Exposure to prevailing temperature conditions and consistent noise level typical of a distribution center.
Qualifications We Prefer but Don’t RequireCertification in the operation of a forklift truck would be considered a plus.
